Undercity meeting: 1st Snowmelt

Discussion: Fungal Infestation, flooding, possible betrayal in the Circus family, and Dagda’s plan.

• Severed hand, supposedly of the late (death only partially confirmed) Don Bellefuelle, used to signify who has the floor

• Miss Mantle of the Fenrir association takes the first stand
• Don Rieper lobs the hand to the podium after having collected it previously
• Mantle was recently offered by a rep that Cabal members act as hired muscle. Inquiring about family confidentiality, as there is seen to be interest in larger mobilization. Brings her worry.
• Rieper asks which groups in the Cabal she is referring to.
• Enzo confirms the Badgers famiglia.
• Mantle states there is a breakdown in communication between Enzo and Rieper
• Enzo marks that not every conversation is talked about between them
• Rieper quiets Enzo, states Cabal is not one organization but many. The people send their leaders to discuss matters
• Rieper confirms that the Van Pelt Gang in particular offers the line of work mentioned
• Mantle confirms they are amicable to the alliance
• Delarosa asks if she would like for any other statements from the other families in attendance
• Rieper states that Fenrir and others who wish to live in the Undercity are welcome to a seat at the council
• Mantle states that people were here before us and asks if there’s anything to say to them, that the Cabal is not building what they are running from.
• Rieper states all are outcasts and share a common concern of the topside choking the people out
• Mantle claims to walk amongst those in the spire and that because the Cabal can’t is their own failing
• Rieper states that is why the cabal does not stand alone
• Mantle makes remark about elected representation
• Rieper states that elections are only amongst Fenrir’s own group, doesn’t matter who their leader is as it’s up to them to decide

• Dagda takes the stand
• Dagda states that the Undercity is supposed to be a force to be reckoned with, but doesn’t have sway over the Seneschality. Point being to try to elect a new Chancellor amicable to the Undercity as eyes and ears to keep the government in check within the council. That the time has come for the Undercity to have a voice.
• Enzo remarks the election is a mockery. Only someone in the inner circle wins.
• Dagda states recognition of such. Asking that the city ticks a box for promoting someone who they believe suits the position, and that Dagda will do the work to promote them
• Rieper understands the point and value in having agency over what enters the caves. But notes that the group is made of criminals and is skeptical that any name associated with the Undercity will go poorly with those above ground
• Dagda states that though the Undercity is made of criminals, representation matters greatly and so does reputation
• Enzo remarks upon unfamiliar ears and posh folk in attendance, a need to talk more in private
• Enzo and Dagda trade remarks about privacy before Dagda stands firm
• Dagda and a plague-masked individual trade remarks about the ailment
• Rieper asks for a vote for those who oppose planting someone favorable in the surface government
• Dagda claims the fungal infection was caused deliberately by a man in reds and purples
• Delarosa states knowledge of the man
• Dagda asks that Rieper endorses someone in the here and now
• Rieper endorses Perilla
• Enzo claims Perilla isn’t part of the Cabal anymore
• Perilla claims to have had a lot on her plate but did not abandon her allegiances
• Dagda goes on a tirade about the situation despite the majority vote in favor for Perilla
• Rieper flips a coin
• Rieper levels a crossbow at Dagda and asks if someone will talk about the fungus

• Rico accepts the stand.
• Rico states that himself, Grydda, Delarosa, Dagda and an Armored man investigated the arrival of concerning meat, coming to the conclusion that it was provided by a man with a mask and no shadow and purple robes, sold by an older member of the Undercity not out of malice. He disposed of the meat into the river, which was retrieved by a homeless man for bait for fish, which were eaten. Him and others were sick for three days before recovering. The man was healthier after the sickness passed from the 3 days
• Delarosa asks if this could be used as a preventative or cure
• Enzo states confusion
• Rico apologizes that the disease isn’t something a simple cure can fix, and that what was said is true about the man being healthier
• The fish was found to have fungus
• Rieper remarks they do not know much about the infestation
• Rico believes an effort should be made for safe food and water distribution, water based gardening ducts to promote algae and moss and encouraging trout to breed. Attempt to cultivate the flora and fauna needed to try and prevent the spread. Means cleaner air, water and better infrastructure for when floods happen again.
• The families and various people in attendance turn out in droves to provide assistance with cultivating native flora and fauna for the project, alongside funding etc
• Rico releases the stand.

• Rieper asks if there are any other topics the community would like to raise.
• The meeting is adjourned.
