Fable Presence Request

Looking to interact with one of the Fables of the realm, and seek to obtain a Fabled Feat? This is the spot for that. A full list of fables is available in the Compendium, and each fable has a requirements section. If you feel your character has performed a task that qualifies for the requirement, or wish to prove themselves in some way, you can seek to fulfill a Fable using the form below.

Please note that just like normal feats, Fabled Feats require you to spend the XP to unlock a feat (currently 10xp, per the Mechanics page).

Character Name: Igor
Desired Fable: Lady of The Lake: Oath of Bravery

What has your character done to qualify them for the fable / gather the attention of the fable?:

Since the day Igor was born, he has endlessly pursued brilliance, whether that be through smithing or the most noble of unarmed combats. His fists are his chosen weapon and the crux with which he moulds steel. His moral compass is strong, though being physically weak he had never been able to do all that he wished, as a natural escalation he began giving the people the tools they needed to protect themselves, whilst trying to build the strength and courage to protect them himself. That is to say, Igor is endlessly obsessed with moulding his body into a shield against evil. No matter what that takes.

Igors family was split in motivations and personal beliefs, where his father worshipped the dragon, being of ashborn heritage, his mother followed and paid tribute to the lady of the lake. They embodied different ideologies, whereas his father was harsh he always had the best interests of those around him at heart, he embodied an affectionate might, treating others as he would treat family. Wheras Igors mother was a being of pure care and mercy, she carried herself with grace and always put the needs of others above her own. She taught in a university, where she treated her students as though they were her own children.

Igor began to see both these fabled entities as adjacent to his mother and father, doing his best to embody both their ideologies, under the assumption that treating others with a kind but firm hand when required, and viewing all creatures as kin, would make him into a better man.

Character Name: Waylon van Hey

Desired Fable: Lady Luck (Scale of Luck)

What has your character done to qualify them for the fable / gather the attention of the fable:

Lucky fellow. That is probably the only reason Waylon never lost a single (fair) spar, why he always came out with a full pouch of money after his gambling nights, and why he was lucky enough to survive his encounter with bandits and a vampire, well, at least lucky enough to be turned instead of simply dying that day. He already calls himself her Favored Childe, and most of what he ever earned is thanks to his 'dumb' luck. Gamble or heist, if there is something for him in it, and the feat is not impossible, he will be one of the first trying to get it... And maybe one day he will do the truly impossible, and luck will stay by his side as he challenges a Fable to a fight.

Character Name: Thanatos Fesyla
Desired Fable: Scales of the Dragon 

What has your character done to qualify them for the fable / gather the attention of the fable?

As a child, Thanatos never thought he would follow in the steps of the dragon. The influence of his mother, he never sought them. However, his father showed him a different path. 

He came to respect the dragon. To see those around him as kin. Amicia was the first, who spurred him to look towards this path. Not by asking, but as someone who needed support. Who couldn’t do it alone. Who needed, in Thanatos’ mind, protected.

Then, he grew older. Having a go at Kyrus, thinking he was mean to Coronis. Being the rock he thought others needed. 

Then, the cusp of being an adult. Not one, not two, but three of his friends. Three gone. Three dead. He couldn’t do anything. 

He couldn’t help Rasmus. He couldn’t help Coronis. Never again.

Character Name - Ayleth Mal'arn
Desired Fable - Siren Serene [Siren's Singer]

What has your character done to qualify them for the fable / gather the attention of the fable? -  Ayleth's motifs are the ocean, stars, and sea serpents. Her constructs are sea serpents, even. Growing up, she was the daughter of a merchant who handled shipments and such- and she grew fascinated by the life onboard a sea vessel. Growing up around the sailors and the captain that manned her father's ship, she was taught to respect the ocean, to never turn her back on a wave - less it drag her with its might. And yet, she found beauty in that - something so beautiful, and yet so deadly.

She had dreams of being a sailor, having a vessel of her own, but of course, the tide of her own destiny took her elsewhere. Still, she has made it a point to walk along the shores and the dock of the Spire, and as of recently, she has been singing a mournful tune by the ocean each night. 

OOCly I have been holding off on requesting this due to the 'rework', but with an undetermined time frame for it, I figured I'd rather just toss it in anyway!

Character Name: Amicia Terebis
Desired Fable: The Lady of the Lake
What has your character done to qualify them for the fable / gather the attention of the fable?: 

Amicia was and has still technically been a squire for many years now, taking a lot of time beneath Maliketh and servicing his armor, cleaning his gear, helping tend to wounds, and more. However, she's been gone for some time and headed back north to Auclair. However, there's far much more to that. Amicia is completely determined that she will either be knighted by the Lady of the Lake or not at all.

OOC Note: hello! It's been a while. I want to mention that it's been a long time since I've been active on this server, so I do understand if there's a reluctance about this. Amicia was a character I had spanning from January of 2025 to around September of 2025 and I intend on returning with her.

Character Name: Delroy
Desired Fable: Spirit of the Fire Dragon (Scales)

What has your character done to qualify them for the fable / gather the attention of the fable?:

In his early days in the Spire, Delroy expressed skepticism and distrust towards the Dragon. Though its been years, people have come and gone, only one large presence in his life has stayed- that being Eivor, who has been working with him over that time to develop more responsibility and courage. He began properly worshiping a year or so ago. Small things, baby steps to ease into the growing belief in him. Finding some sort of purpose again. 

Recently, he completed his first campaign after entering the Militia. He was among those that struck the killing blow to their leader, Walkruke, and did his best to stand by allies to provide cover and take hits for them. No personal glory, no limelight. Just doing what he had to in order to keep people safe, even at risk to his own well being. Giving others the best chance to live, to feel safe enough to relax and return home to loved ones. That's something worth fighting for. 

Character Name: Azuran Mal'arn
Desired Fable: Spirit of the Fire Dragon

What has your character done to qualify them for the fable / gather the attention of the fable?:

Azuran, alongside a group of brave warriors, set out to slay Azlin Reyes- a member of Locke & Keye that had claimed and twisted the draconic Wings of a chosen of The Dragon. Alongside this, Azlin had slain Drenmir prior, leading to the man's weakened state thereafter.

With Azlin, The Manticore, slain.. Azuran intends to bring her head, the wings she stole, and his own blade to sacrifice to the Dragon. A show of an Oath kept, and the promise of more to come.

Character Name: Gambeson Terebis
Desired Fable: Lady of the Lake
What has your character done to qualify them for the fable / gather the attention of the fable?:
While Gambeson has been absent from the Spire for some time, the youth's heroics hardly faltered in his absence. Gambeson had previously sworn an oath and was gifted an artifact from the Lady- his father's legendary evil-repelling sword. The youth who aspired to be a hero and a knight like his father had proved his worth, and now he seeks to further cement his heroism and birth a legend for himself beyond his father's shadow.

Gambeson himself is not concerned with knighthood nor heroics. However, his tendency toward doing good has persisted nonetheless- his oath still upheld all this time later.

OOC Note: I've been absent for a couple of months, I believe since August / September of 2025? If I'm needing to put in the roleplay again for Gambeson to pick up another oath that is a-okay, I'm riding on the coat tails of his previous achievements right now.

Character Name: Khari Mal’arn

Desired Fable: Phoenix and Equinox

What has your character done to qualify them for the fable / gather the attention of the fable?:

Khari has always been driven by instinct and confidence. Restless by nature, he rarely lingers on anything for too long, preferring, instead, action over hesitation or thoughtfulness. Once he confirms the nature of something, that is usually at face value, he commits to it completely, often before considering that there may be more to something than meets the eye.

He came to the Spire with that same temperament shaping his initial pursuit of vengeance against his brethren. He cradled closely a one-sided understanding of why he was left for dead and to fend for himself and judged those involved entirely through that perspective. To him, the truth was clear cut: he trusted someone, he had been betrayed, that someone was responsible, and justice meant making them answer for it.

The more time he spent in the Spire and getting to know its inhabitants, that certain clarity he had began to fall apart. Khari was forced to confront the possibility that the same defining moment that fueled him for decades could be understood differently by another person without either perspective being false. His pain remained real, but so could the reasons behind the choices that caused it. Betrayal and protection, anger and grief, victim and fault could all exist within the same event, not as separate, opposing truths that cancel one another out, but as two inseparable truths or two sides of the same coin.

So, what once drove him toward vengeance now drives him towards seeking out a full understanding. He now is trying to allow room for  another perspective that does not diminish his own, and that acknowledging the complexity of a situation is not the same as compromising conviction. He realizes that it’s within that grey area that the world works in more often than not and also where compromises can be found. His willingness to pursue that difficult truth, rather than the simpler, straight forward one is what now makes Khari want to go on a personal pilgrimage of self-reflection to gain a deeper understanding of this.
