What has your character done to qualify them for the fable / gather the attention of the fable?:
Zahir's life is one that can be defined by a constant balancing act. He's a coward who fears conflict, and yet he'll risk life and limb for the sake of protecting others. He's a pacifist, and yet he's found himself dragged into conflict after conflict since coming to the Spire. He carries a sword, and yet he'd rather exhaust every other option and carve out new ones than draw it on another person. He pretends to be strong to scare off attackers, yet he's weak. He fears the sea because it killed his uncle and his crew, and nearly killed him in turn, yet he loves it for the freedom it offers all the same. He's a merchant, yet he'll willingly sacrifice his own funds without expecting anything in return.

His experiences in the Spire have been equally as conflicting. He's encountered spirits twice, and yet has been given two completely conflicting experiences with them, having helped the first achieve peace through kindness and assistance and having nearly died in a violent battle with the second after some external force seemingly sent them spiralling into chaos. Even his interactions with other people have led him to contend with the complex, contradictory nature of existence and of his own lack of perspective. Whether that was his various encounters with Cadayle, which exposed him to three different versions of the same person or his interactions with Raime and Maliketh, which showed him two opposite extremes of what knighthood represented. His eyes have been opened greatly, and yet he doesn't fully understand the things he's seen.

His entire experience thus far has been one of trying to attain understanding, not just of himself, but of the people and world around him as well, and to find true harmony and balance amid all the chaos he's had to bear. He's someone who values serenity and peace, but can't seem to escape chaos and conflict. He intends to go on a journey of self-discovery and understanding to really understand and accept both aspects of his existence, and to finally accept his right to live in spite of every ounce of his being telling him that he shouldn't, because he survived and the people he loved didn't.

ICly, I'll be spending more time around the Dragon Shrines and engaging in more roleplay on pursuing knowledge of such. A fabled feat would absolutely be wonderful, but an interaction would be neat as well, whichever seems more on par!

Character Name: Suzume Saisui

What has your character done to qualify them for the fable / gather the attention of the fable?:

Suzume’s life as of late has been nothing but chaos to her. There has been constant unrest and turmoil in the last year of her life. And what has she done to remedy this? Ignore all of it.

She’s kept to herself to keep people she cares for safe, yet that has only made her lonely. She has forced herself to bottle up her emotions in attempts to keep herself calm, yet it only seems to keep her rage festering. While she turns around and acts out on her violent impulses, only to find it calms her down. And in the end, regardless of her attempts, she can’t seem to find peace in any of her actions. She only feels guilt, never embracing any part of herself, never learning. Always picking at the scab that eats away at her soul.

Suzume wants to heal, truly, but she doesn’t know where to begin. She’s lost her family. She lost herself in the time of her brother’s death. She hasn’t allowed herself to grieve, or embrace her emotions the way she should have. Her heart calls out to the Birds, whose stories she grew up with and respected. Though she may not be fully aware of it, she seeks out their guidance.

What is she to do with all this rage? This grief? This loneliness? She needs their help…

OOC Note:
The aim for this is not to get a Fable Feat, though it would be nice to get if it works out that way. This is just meant to start Suzume's journey of healing and growth. As it feels like she's losing control of her life, she's in need of guidance to be able to take action and start taking back her life. So ideally, this will have the Phoenix appear to her first, then she eventually earns the mark on a later date, if not this time.
