The Van Pelt Gang (also known by "The Van-Pelts", "the hide hunters", "Van Pelt Company", or "the Van-Pelt crew") is a bounty hunter's guild that sprung up from the streets around the Spire. Specializing in tracking, cross-country travel, and handling even the most unsavory of gigs, the Van Pelts are a rag-tag bunch that know how to get the job done right.

+ After turning in "Hideous" Hayden Grimwald's bounty, the VPG delivered the rest of his smuggled food (that was brought in as evidence) to the Spire hospital as a donation—minus a few potatoes, which were boiled with crawdads by the gang in celebration.
+ After trapping and fighting the corrupted dryad, the VPG discovered they might have a chance to cure it if they disconnected its corrupted vines. By clearing the rot they managed to save the great fey instead of slaying it.
+ Cleared out a camp of poachers from the southeastern woods of the Spire area.
+ Cleared out 48 blighted with only 5 members in an effort to protect the Spire region.
+ Escorted and protected Lady Simay in a caravan that foolishly cut through the Walljack swamps.
+ Ended the threat against the Spire's cow population, saving the town from further inflation of beef prices.
+ Assisted the Spire Rangers in clearing both groups' name, thwarting the threat of a rising coup among the ranks of the Rangers, and securing a deal to bring additional venison to the markets to offset the cost of beef.
+ Captured all three mages of the Coven Three, saving the reputation of the Spire's Ellison Mining Company and ensuring the Valkian Mint receives its ore.
+ Funded the new Albern’s Crossing bridge reconstruction.
+ Ended the reign of the corrupt Wall Wardens in the Southern Swamp.

+ Whilst trying to recoup the Phonquis' debt, the VPG lit their manor on fire. Fortunately the place did not burn down, but fire damages were done regardless.

+ Van Pelt--known as "The Mutt", or, "The Bloodhound"--is infamous for his legendary sense of smell, razor-sharp bone claws, and healing factor. The few that have gone toe-to-toe and lived to tell the tale can recount how his fresh wounds seemed to close back up on their own.
+ Stole the Siren Serene’s Kraken Staff and used it to massacre the Requital pirates' fleet, untold lives utterly decimated.
+ On numerous occasions rumors have it that while fighting the Van Pelts, the sky has ripped open unleashed torrents of awe-filling star explosions upon their enemies.
+ The Van Pelts, of the top three bounty hunting groups in the Southern Reach, waged war upon their competition—the Wall Wardens—and eliminated them.
