On the morning of Firstide 4, a notice is put up in the Spire. Word is quick to spread due to the nature of the news. It’s written in legible script, recognizable to those who’d ever seen the knight’s written words before.

Harrison Bellefuelle is dead and staked by my hand.

Dorian Locke has escaped with grievous injury.

The Midnight Circus, as it were, is over. 

Ariella and Caleb, the two captives held by Harrison, have been rescued. Despite his childlike utterances, in the end, Harrison was a cruel man. Caleb was bound by chains, suspended. Arielle was bound by Etheric tendrils that tore through her flesh. Both were puppeteered by the Harrison and made to attack us with steel, ether, and pyromancy.

If a man is too weak to kill by his own hand, but controls others to do the deed for him - is he really still so innocent?

Maybe some think so. But this is alright. It is a knight’s duty to do what must be done. 

The honor of this melee is to Bracchus Moontusk, Kitty Grandine, Yarrow Neredas, Crow Sorokin of House Noctis, and Ser Maliketh. There is yet further praise to be given to Stewardess Meriel Noctis, Perilla Ulesinski, and Yuna Moontusk, as without their arcane aid, we would be dead.

I grant mercy to the worthy, and judgment to the cruel.
