Log One

The patient got infected three days ago. Somehow mixing the cursed infected's blood with her own. Unsure if it is consuming it, or if it is merely just mixing the two and putting it into the body one way or another. 

First symptoms are extreme fever and icy touch for the first three days. On the third day they are still hungry, but food is becoming unappetizing as they do try to eat, but then throw it up. They still suffered from a slight fever on day three and were no longer feeling icy. 

The patient's mouth would become dry and canines are tender. They cannot hold down any liquids as well. The patient thinks they had died after I had expressed the symptoms she is having and sounds like she is dying. Other symptoms are: insomnia, hallucinations, heightened senses of touch, sound, and smell.

Log Two

Day four, the patient’s hallucinations and hunger have spiked drastically. They are disassociating with reality, and despite their hunger and thirst they still throw up anything they consume. Their canines hurt still, but there were no changes in how they looked. I gave them some essential oils for the pain to see if it will aid them.

Log Three

I spoke privately with the Magister about his case. I had asked him if animal blood would offer any substance for him compared to people’s. He said “Animal blood offers me to subsist for longer periods without a proper feeding, but I still must partake from a living person every so often.” He then explained that he only takes what is offered and nothing more.

He has a weak pulse and his temperature is uncomfortably cold. He said it takes a week to change and it has been a few months prior since he was bitten.

Log Four

Spoke to a Fukuro on an idea for the cure. We know based on the Magister’s case that mundane healing and medicine will not be a cure, but can possibly help. However the main cure may be from the Fables and or magic. My idea is to go to Umeneri-sama and perform a ritual for both Equinox and Phoenix. To make the patient go into rest with potion and another potion to jolt their heart to perform the second part of the ritual. Need to speak to Umeneri-sama about this and ask the Magister for their input and helping hand.

Log Five

Found out this:

• Vampires cannot sleep. No alchemical ways will help induce sleep, perhaps magic. Thus they cannot go into the Nocturne.

• They have a weakness to water, silver, feeding on something that has too many potions, the sun, and general hunger and freshly spilt blood.

• After fully turning, any food they try to consume is like consuming ash. Drinking water is unpleasant.
• When they attack their victims, the victims lose their memories of who attacked them and how for at least twenty-four hours. Some victims do not get their full memories back. [OOC: At least a full day's worth of amnesia.] 

Possibly can find the cure in the Nocturne too, but it may differ from case to case as each mind is different.

Log Six

Other information:

• Vampires cannot heal without the consumption of blood, be it mortal, beastly, undead or vampiric.

• Some can develop other features like abnormal bodily shapes, additional eyes, claws, and of course the teeth. 

• They can move quickly.

• For one of them, shadows wrap around them to cloak them from view.

• The same person who can wrap themselves in shadows can sustain themselves living off of animals.

• They can see in the darkness like it was lit up.

Log Seven

Observation:

• Each Vampire looks differently when in their Vampiric form. Some gain extra eyes, the shadows seem to be alive around them, and their teeth are all different. 

• Emotions can make them shift into their Vampiric form, not just hunger.

Log Eight

The Nocturne with Khammedol provided this:

• Vampirism is a blight or corruption placed on the soul that also takes away the connection to the Nocturne.

• The afflicted must find that connection once more - which may differ from person to person. How? Unsure. 

• We should go to the Fables next with prayers and offerings. Mostly Phoenix and Equinox.

• The Tower in the Nocturne may be the last resort. Beings of the Nocturn are not helpful or rare to help without risks, but again this is last resort.

Log Nine

In the end, we found out that the cure is not something easy to obtain and there is no one cure for all who suffer from this affliction. It is like dealing with a patient who is handling extreme trauma. They can be guided to the right path with advice and herbal remedies, but they themselves have to take the steps to said pathway. For the afflicted, no medicinal herbs can help them except potions that would keep them grounded.

We need to cure the blight from their soul somehow and to find the missing piece to connect them back to the Nocturne. How? It is uncertain as there are many ways to go about this and every person is different especially when dealing with the Nocturne. Once we cure one person,  I will provide a guide to see if that can help others obtain a cure of their own. 

First we shall attempt to go to the Equinox for aid, hoping to seek rest for the Vampire through the means of putting them to rest. The Phoenix may need to step in to promote life once more to the patient depending on how we approach this situation.

Log Ten - The Cure

We connected to the Nocturne and the Patient was allured to an area where they met an entity that called to us. It can take whatever form the Afflicted can think of and begin to ask questions to the cursed while leading us deeper into their memory.

We fought what seemed to be the Vampire's monster. Something that gives them strife and struggle and wins. It took a toll on us though, but we pushed through.

In conclusion the Vampire must connect to the Nocturne in some way. They must find what allures them and face their inner most darkest part of either themselves or what they have faced in life. By winning whatever challenge they face, they can purify their souls and reconnect to the Nocturne without aid thus making them cured. Once back into our reality, the Cured Vampire would shed its form completely. It looks extremely painful, but they are now free of the Curse.
