· · ─ ·✶· ─ · · Lilith passed away on the 9th of Greenrain.   That night, reports surged of a mutant writhing with madness beneath the Vampire Tree southwest of town. Lilith joined Magnolia and Ser Rytelus on an ad-hoc basis and they investigated the disturbance together.  The mutant 'Antonio' was driven into a mad frenzy by the Bloodwrought disease. Until the very end, Lilith did her best to diffuse the situation with forbearance and kindness. She tried to calm Antonio down so he could receive treatment. But her altruism was rewarded with vicious attacks that gravely wounded her. Other mutant chimeras joined in for an ambush and Lilith fought commendably, even healing others among the melee.She was already weak from Antonio's unprovoked attack and Lilith was taken hostage. It was here that she succumbed to acidic wounds. Although it is no mystery of how she died as a hostage, those details will be left for the hospital staff and survivors to announce on their own. If the public is presented a travesty, a follow-up statement will rectify the timeline of events.If you are a someone close to Lilith, her belongings and diary have been stowed at the hospital alongside her remains.      Ember Swords

  A warning to all travelers and wayfarers, there are several haunted trees scattered in the Reach. They are possessed by malevolent spirits and those who come close will be tempted into evil. These trees stand alone and pervade a blight which kills surrounding vegetation. They produce fruits that are highly poisonous. Its bark is unnatural and appears similarly to bone. [!] -- Posters are spread across the Reach, blazoned with a flaming sword. The Spire is not taking the threat of vampirism seriously. In the past month alone, there were attacks in the streets, ambushes in the valley, and public feedings taking place. They’ve even consolidated power in the Undercity and continue to operate their own realm in the caverns below. Just this week, our Swordbrethren defeated two vampires who were amassing a horde of necrophages to be used in sinister plans.    Something must be done. With the Scarlet Plague at our doorsteps, the Spire doesn’t need yet another disease decimating scores of people.    Let us be clear: we do not encourage rampant vigilantism where all vampires are brought to heel. There are several who’ve had the affliction forced upon them, who strive to cure themselves and others. But there are many more who are shameless in their condition. Feeding in public, flaunting their Corruption like an advert, building networks to seize power and territory.    They are not a peregrine people to be greeted and understood. They are cannibals whose whole existence is centred around the predation of innocent mortals.    To the vampires of wickedness and to the apologists defending them…  We know who you are. [ ! ]  Two Ember Knights trudged into the Spire town licking their wounds. They spoke of a vampire prowling the woods along the Ouroboros, situated in an old fort now serving their base. At the crack of dawn, a larger contingent of Swordbrethren sped to the delta and battled the vampiric threat. And although the Swordfellows returned victorious, they were anything but triumphant. A good deal of shouting and hollering was heard from the headquarters in the southern district. A few people stormed out of the building after someone pulled their rank.  Some have gossiped that a duel was proposed but promptly denied. Other rumors goes so far to say that a vampire was captured and brought to the HQ! The more observant have guessed there's a strain between the Fallstone and Spire chapters of the order. Nonetheless, the excitement soon faded and the order resumed its usual secretiveness.
