We are on our own. 

If what I have said so far, proven so far, has not been enough to stir you to action—perhaps this will. 

After many months of tireless effort in the Undercity to stop the Eldarhorn’s spread—amidst having our food supply poisoned by Topside government officials, bounty hunters taking advantage of the chaos, and countless other atrocities that have befallen us—we’ve managed to slow the spread and force it to retreat. We’ve even been assisted by the entity that holds my power to maintain these ice walls in such an environment. 

And in spite of all these efforts—they have returned. Le New Cirque—The New Circus is now known as Locke & Keye.

And they have claimed the old infected Circus Grounds that brought our people so much pain as their own. Boarded themselves up so that we cannot rightfully force them out ourselves. Their being there has single handedly undone all of the work we have starved to achieve. 

Where they have stationed is no coincidence. The fungus festers just behind those walls. I have no doubt they know that too—that they count on it. All these notices about missing loved ones. Curious about where they keep vanishing to? 

Willing to bet we know now.

We can live in fear and isolation No Longer. Not even the Undercity is a safe refuge for mutants now. This is only more fuel to the fire. This is only more proof that we are on our own. 

So we better act like it. 

Together, we will take this filth from our home. And then we will build anew so that this never happens again.

That is all everyone you love is worth to the Locke & Clowns.
Two-hundred and fifty crowns.
I wish that was the worst part, I do.
But the worst part is the lack of reaction from this information. 
The lack of action.

'Godhood.' 

A man whom called himself the Garrison, or 'the King Freak', walked into 'Seneschalty' lands.
Set up shop.
And then bragged about how many mutants he'd sold. Out in the open. With no opposition, except one:
A mutant. Elkaj. 
As this self-styled 'Freak' spat vile brags about sending dozens to their demise, selling them for 250 crowns a piece, no one else acted against him. 
Only Elkaj did. . .
Who was the threatened with arrest himself by the Stewardess.
Instead of arresting the man who just bragged about selling mutants, they threatened to arrest the mutant for trying to do so himself.

And they let Garrison go.

Only after, of course, playing into his games. More curious about Keye's wealth than the mutants suffering under his experimentation.

I have no doubt excuses will be spun, but there are none.
None.

But there is hope here, in all this bleak. We have learned a lot.
During the meeting I hosted below, we discussed what has been discovered in the old Circus grounds beneath the City. I will share my findings here, because I have no doubt they do not wish for us to know; and I have no reason to hide it.

From Investigating the Lion's Den:

1. They have destroyed all of the hard work the folk of the Undercity put in to slow and stop the spread of the fungus; the ice walls maintained by the one that holds my power have fallen. 
2. Mellory is a traitor in every way. She cowers as I pen this in the belly where the Catacombs and Lion's Den meet. Knowing her involvement with the Eldarhorn, and what else I will discuss, this should be exceedingly alarming. 
3. The Den itself is protected by both foot and runes. Getting close is incredibly risky. Do so with caution, or not at all. 
4. There is a cage within the Den. I could sense something deeply wrong within this cage; a mutant, most like, or many mutants. What was once human now stands in there feral, with multiple arms and legs and not a trace of humanity left. This is what they aim to make us.
   
   From Elkaj's Journals at 'Garrison's little display: 
5. The Enforcer Trials are where they experiment on mutants, pumping them with various substances alongside removing and adjusting 'parts' to fit their liking. 
6.  Many of our own continue to get recruited to this freak's cause, searching for 'the perfect specimen', alongside talks of the 'perfect strain'.
7. A man named 'Caine' was mentioned, speaking of nobility and an 'Eclipse'.

   I do not keep what I find quiet because I know our only chance at survival is togetherness.
   Mutants must save ourselves, because it has been proven yet again there is no one else waiting. 
   They let him go.
   
   They let the man that admitted to selling dozens of mutants for 250 crowns go.
   That is less than the average petty bounty in the Spire.
   
   But today we proved yet again togetherness is the key to our success. We were attacked by a large group of L&K fiends during the meeting. And we sent them running with their tail between their legs; and the rest that did not have the mercy to escape, are dead or in our custody.
   We did not run, even if some mutants did turn and abandon their kin the moment it got violent.
   
   Instead we stood together.
   
   Find each other.
   Organize.
   
   Find me in the Undercity, if you have your doubts.
   I will prove it to you.
   
   Our survival depends on it.

   I have run into a reoccurring issue of people picking Enzo’s notes or plans apart OOC but never acting on their opinions IC, which means there’s never any actual follow up in game and only me tirelessly defending myself or watching what I’m working on get nitpicked to death. I understand people can have OOC opinions, but when it’s not going to be involved at all IC and only pick at it OOC, it gets really demoralizing. 

   Please bring your concerns to Enzo IC, whether about this event or about his past, etc—he hasn’t tried to hide it!
