Hello! My name is Ethan. I am from the US, I am normally EST but for the next few months I will be CST.
I have done lots of RP on other games before, but none on Minecraft, so I thought it would be interesting to try. I primarily RPed on Life Is Feudal, before the game died, just in case anybody is aware of that game.
I am also very interested in history, right now my latest history obsession is the timeframe between 1336 and the 1800s. I try to use real life historical knowledge to try and make my RP more realistic.
I have always liked building, and have recently gotten back in to building. I hope that I can make some interesting builds that fit in with the server.
I am also learning Mandarin Chinese right now, just a fun fact about me for context on who I am as a person.

The sound of clinking glasses and idle chatter welcome you in as you find yourself stepping into The Full Cask. An older man with a full mustache and warm smile beckons you over to the bar he's tending. His gazes washes over you, a glint of some knowing look shining in his eyes. As you sit, his voice rumbles out:
"Hello there stranger! What can I get for you?"
After you order, he continues to make small talk. "You must be a newcomer. I'm Maarten, glad to meet you." He says with a certain kindness in his tone.
"Tell me, what brings you to the Spire?"

Adrien offers the innkeeper a polite nod, placing a few coins upon the counter.
"May the Sun shine upon you. A mug of ale, if you would."
After the drink is poured and served, he raises it slightly in greeting, responding to Maarten's introduction.
"Adrien de Valcour. A pleasure, Maarten."
At the question, he pauses for a moment.
"Curiosity, mostly. I was born in the Duchy of Rulan, not far from The Wall. It's difficult to grow up there without hearing its history. Every child is taught how it brought an end to the old Aedall raids and became the Empire's southern gate. Strange, then, that I'd spent 26 years living in its shadow without ever setting foot beyond it.”
He takes a sip from his mug.
"With so many stories now coming north from the Spire and the settlements of the Southern Reach, I decided it was finally time to satisfy my curiosity rather than rely on merchants' tales. Much of my time with the Red Fist Artillery Corps was spent in the north, where the winters seem determined to outlast the wars themselves. By the time I laid down my commission, I'd had my fill of snow, sieges, and marching."
He takes a longer sip, finishing off the mug of ale.
"Rulan has long been known for what it builds. Men remember the Wall as a fortress, but to us it has always been a point of pride. A testament to what patience, stone, and skilled hands can accomplish. After eight years devoted to tearing walls and fortresses down, I find the notion of building something rather more appealing."
