I'm from South Africa (which means cool cultural differences :3) and have been in numerous different roleplay servers and events, from 1000 player civilization experiments to multiple year long modded lore servers, and thats just Minecraft only!

Read the following prompt:
The rhythmic lull of hoofbeats are a marching drum to the small group of pioneers and variety of folk you have found yourself amongst, packed into a wobbling wagon. The rolling plains of the Southern Reach and a clear sky stretch out all around you, the buzz of excited chatter a dull wash in your ears as your mind strays to your former life and what has led you here to new lands.
“Nervous?”
You blink, returning to the present moment. A kindly older woman sat near you is smiling warmly with a crinkle to her eyes.
“I can tell it’s your first time. Still remember mine,” she flashes a grin and leans in.
“Tell me my dear, why have you come to the Reach?”

— Well... I might aswell tell you the whole story... I don't remember anything from when I was young, but I was taken in by the Fireborne, I followed their customs as I was one of their own but I'm nor Greatling or Fey, yet they treated me like one... I believe the common word is adoption? Anyway, I always of course felt like I didn't belong... I always struggled with the heat of my surroundings... and everyone but my caretakers treated me like an outsider, even though all I knew was to be one of them... Then whilst I was sleeping, I heard shouting and crying, my caretakers were being confronted by 3 Greatlings, blades drawn. Once they saw me they pushed one of my caretakers to the side and charged at me, the other caretaker tripped the charging one and ran to me and pushed down a bookshelf to reveal a small hatch, she told me to go through and not come back until she said to, I listened and closed the hatch... All I could hear from that point on was shouting and screaming as I began crawling through the tunnel, eventually there was a room with a backpack covered in dark dust, and an out of place looking stone, in the backpack was a blood stained map showing the Southern Reach, aswell as an arrow coming from the West, the backpack also held a blade handle, seemingly of the 'Rapier' variety, although ornate and pretty, it doesn't have a blade so I can't use it... I haven't known what to do besides go to where the arrow points... Which is what I'm doing now... To be honest, I don't have a clue on what to do once we reach a settlement... Hopefully wherever we are headed is more welcoming than where I was before, I just wish to not have to be looking over my shoulder constantly you know? Oh and is there anything I should know to do or not to do? I don't want to make any enemies after all!
