In-Character
Read the following prompt:
The rhythmic lull of hoofbeats are a marching drum to the small group of pioneers and variety of folk you have found yourself amongst, packed into a wobbling wagon. The rolling plains of the Southern Reach and a clear sky stretch out all around you, the buzz of excited chatter a dull wash in your ears as your mind strays to your former life and what has lead you here to new lands.
“Nervous?”
You blink, returning to the present moment. A kindly older woman sat near you is smiling warmly with a crinkle to her eyes.
“I can tell it’s your first time. Still remember mine,” she flashes a grin and leans in.
“Tell me my dear, why have you come to the Reach?”
How do you respond (in character)? (150 words minimum)
Ziad's steeled gaze shifts from the shirt his was mending in his lap. Cutting and sinching the unneeded right arm of shirts had become typical for the amputee, and despite the missing arm, he made the act seemed practiced. Despite the bumping and rolling of the wagon, he didn't seem to find too much issue completing his task. His remaining fingers pinched the cloth so he wouldn't lose his place before his voice trickled out of his throat:
"No ma'am. Not nervous- well. Not completely." He said, looking toward their distant destination. "I've come to aid my companion. She has a cause worth following and I intend to make sure she is able to see it come to fruition." The amputee looked back down toward the shirt, continuing to stitch the hole closed. "Many that know the clan from which we severed ourselves from may call us fools. But her passion is hard to deny. It convinced me, anyhow. So, no. Not nervous for the destination. More so that which lays beyond."
With the shirt finished, he knotted the thread and rose it to his teeth to sever. With the last of his clothing mended, he awaited his destination with anticipation churning in his stomach.

Character Name: Ziad
Character Race: Arsa Sidhe
Character Age: 25
Brief Physical Description:
Ziad stands firm at 5'6" but holds what once might have been an imposing air. His most striking feature is his missing right arm, severed just beneath the shoulder. His hair is a dark, unruly mane that remains tied back to keep out of his steeled grey eyes and is often found in plain canvas clothing. The man has a lean, wiry build, honed from the standards of the clan from which he hailed, and his features are weather-torn from long days exposed outdoors.
