[Theme 2]
➼ Name: Sangiban
➼ Aliases: None
General Information
➼ Race: Human, Falstoner
➼ Gender: Male
➼ Age: 32
➼ Orientation: Hetero
➼ Height: 5'8
➼ Weight: 140lb
Physical Appearance: Sangiban is a healthy, but haggard looking man around his early thirties. His unkempt hat of hair and beard are a dusty coffee-color, and while both are a bit greasy they are otherwise kept clean of soot and stench. His dark brown eyes seem to be slow, observant, and betray a sense of boredom, at least when they aren't closed in a never-ending search for a nap. Sangiban is rather lean from a lifestyle spent missing meals, though- so far- he doesn't seem like he's about to keel over from hunger or illness.
Sangi's Bindlestick & Baggage ![]()
Sangiban doesn't carry much at the moment, not that he can ever carry anything he can't stuff into a bag or his clothes.
Here's a quick inventory:
Victuals for the Stew
A stale loaf of coarse bread.
He'll keep the loaf's heel to gnaw on or dunk in his tea.

A bulb or two of garlic, a green onion sprig, and some dried peppers.
Who says vagrancy has to be bland?

A juicy steak? Yeah right. That's a hunk of dried beef.
Mushrooms are a good substitute for pretty much any kind of meat, though. If they don't kill you, of course..

Sangiban keeps a teacup and a jar full of dried tea leaves for those moments he needs to keep away.
There's also a few empty bottles of whiskey and beer in here, he wishes they were full, though.

Oh, whoops, he should throw this out. It's starting to smell..
Clothes & Other Vital Necessaries
➼ Glad Rags: None, Sangiban has no formal clothing to speak of.
➼ Day Rags: Sangiban owns an off-white tunic, a pair of brown linen trousers, a ragged leather jerkin, and some worn out boots.
He has a beaten-up wool cloak that he uses as a bedroll too.
➼ Weaponry & Armour: A basic hunting knife, and his katana, which he has no idea how to use.
➼ Potions, Elixirs, and Medicine: A small pot of healing poultice and a roll of bandages.
➼ Arts & Crafts: Sangiban does a bit of watercolour painting on the side. He always brings some brushes and a few vials of paint with him.
He also keeps a penknife, a tinderbox, a flint, and a bit of kindling with him, for firestarting.
➼ Books: None.
➼ The Korami's Sword: A Debt "Blade in Full"
During a game of dice, Sangiban was "lent" a sword by a Korami man as an IOU. Unfortunately, the man never returned with the promised money, leaving Sangiban with a rather beaten up, dulled, piece of metal. The blade was later refurbished by Rott the Blacksmith, for the hefty price of eighty crowns. The hilt is wrapped in blue silk cords and stingray skin while the guard is made of brass-faced steel rather than gold. The scabbard has been remade using black lacquered leather and bears two golden belt-knobs with circular crayfish insignia stamped onto the flat ends of the knobs. On the flat of the blade is an engraving, just barely visible, that spells out what appears to be a name: "-d-h-i Ch--ii" He has named the weapon "Blade in Full" as a pun around its previous owner's gambling debts.
Personality & Relationships
His most prized possessions, kept close to the vest, never to be bartered or sold, if he can help it.

"Find out yourself, noser, not like I'm going anywhere."
Favorite Meal: Breaded, deep-fried ones. The only thing he never saves for later.
Least Favorite Meal: A missed one.
Favorite Drinks: Tea, beer, and punch.
Least Favorite Drinks: Week-old rainwater and dubious puddles.
Likes: A cold rainstorm, a good nap, a fork in the road, a difficult job, and an earnest handout.
Dislikes: Cheaters, stingy bosses, patronizing do-gooders, runaways, emotional obligations.
Virtues: Honest, hardworking (if its worth it), a good listener.
Vices: "Functioning" drunkard, a stubborn, somewhat terse grouch.
Relationships
Sangiban tries to discard a lot of this sort of baggage since it just weighs him down.
That doesn't mean he's good at it, though.
Siona: "You were just too chickenshit to talk to her, weren't you?" Sangiban considers Siona one of his few friends, though he sometimes wonders if there might be room for something more. Her cheerful, kindly demeanour- as much as it irritates him at times- does give him something to look forward to. He fears the day when he breaks her trust. @Lovely
Konrad: "Just leave me alone, doc. I'm in a bad mood." Konrad strikes Sangi as someone who might have been a good father figure or older brother if he encountered him when he was an urchin. This includes his penchant for breaking uncomfortable truths. Sangiban wonders how much Konrad actually is just tolerating his presence. He hopes that he might one day be able to call the man a friend. @DocEukaryote
Chip: "Left all alone, with no one to care for you. Don't worry kid, I'll make sure you can roam those streets just fine." Chip is a small robin chick that he and Siona found on a walk along the outskirts of the city. For some reason, the baby bird struck a cord of sympathy with him and so Sangiban has fiercely protected and cared for the creature since then.
Rott: "Eighty crowns? Didn't realize my burden would be a financial one." Rott is one of the few people Sangiban did not immediately bully upon first meeting. It takes a real kind of blackheartedness to make fun of cripples and simpletons, though judging by his craftsmanship, Sangiban does not think Rott is either. @NOS402
Kalibri: "Looks like you've been doing a bit of running yourself." An odd woman who most assuredly is being chased by her past, Sangiban wonders if- like him- she'll have to come face to face with whatever is haunting her. He knows very little about her, but he is sure that whatever happens to her, she'll be more than capable of handling it. @Soup
Tirza: "Yeah, I'll join your team for a sport that doesn't exist." He'd never admit this, but Tirza's go-gettem attitude is incredibly endearing. Sangiban will try his best to show up for whenever the next ball-game is. @Kamaoe
Diarmait: A mysterious fellow who seems to offer great advice for depressed drunkards and clearly knows more ghosts than the average fellow. @BrunoPhil
Oliver: A cheery, ambitious engineer. Sangiban has yet to receive any work from him. @Ghiojo
Anwar: Anwar strikes Sangiban as a bit of an airhead, though a friendly, giving one at least. He owes Sangi a few more drum lessons. @adamunavailable
Nell: A scrappy, upbeat sailor who has the same sense of haggling as Sangiban. He hopes to see more of them soon. @Tomtomgags
Facets: You know your breakdown is bad when you're visited by two ghostly knights representing Guilt and Deed. He will heed their advice and forge his own path. @Dee
