What is your pitch to your patron? Why should they give you magic?:

Morgan Madoc has no interest in power for its own sake.
If anything, he has seen and experienced first hand what it means to have power without any of the accountability and responsibility that one is required to have in order to use it properly, to use it well. He knows what it means to have it, to help and choose not to, and what that those without power pay the price for it.
And that is what sparked his interest for Myo in the first place.
The idea of magic not being a reward, but rather a responsibility, is something Morgan understands. After mutating, he used the strength it provided him to live selfishly, until everything he loved was ripped out of his life in a single moment, caused by the lifestyle he chose to lead prior to arriving in the Spire. Ever since then he's decided that if he is going to be given power capable of changing people's lives, then he believes there ought to be a reason behind doing it. Not for glory, nor wealth. Not because he believes he was destined for it. But because somebody needs help.
Truth is, Morgan is still trying to navigate what it all means, what he's meant to do, how he can do better. But one thing that is for certain is Myo's philosophy of the Greater Good appeals to the part of him that refuses to stand by when he could have done something. And the willingness to sacrifice is something Morgan understands intimately.
All of this to say, the root of Morgan's entire philosophy as Cob-Web revolves around one simple question; if you have the ability to stop something terrible from happening, what gives you the right to simply walk away?
