Biography
[/baɪˈɒɡ.rə.fi/] noun | the life story of a person written by someone else.

Chapter I
Born into a wealthy Valkian family, Heinrich had an easy childhood. His days were spent immersed in books of both fictional and worldly wonder. However, his comfortable upbringing left him isolated from the outside world, as he only ever dared to venture into unknown territory if he had read about it. His curiosity was confined by the fear of not knowing, which, in some respects, it still is. The only thing he couldn't prepare for was his world crumbling apart.

Chapter II
He was ten when his parents died mysteriously of poisoning, before their wealth was plundered. He was still too young for any judge to listen to him when he claimed it was a murder. A mortician concluded it was death by disease and a guard claimed, despite search efforts, his wealth was lost.. He knew they were lying through their teeth, but he had no more than a hunch. His parents' murder is a gaping hole in his library of knowledge that haunts him to this day.

Chapter III
The paid Judge sent him to an Orphanage deep in the woods, yet when he and his escorts arrived, it was nothing but a decaying wooden shack in the rain. Just as he had processed the reality of the situation, he looked back at his escort carriage as it left him behind. He was lost in the woods, standing in the rain, miles from any street, with only the shack to offer shelter. He entered cautiously, the air thick with mold and dust, until his eyes gleamed upon an old hag watching him with a bewildered, yet delighted look. An impossibly old lady with mushrooms sprouting from her head. She looked malnourished and covered her bony body with several layers of clothing.  Despite her disconcerting presence, she offered him tea.

Chapter IV
As the days passed, he got to know this odd, old lady. She didn't seem malicious, merely out of touch with people. She cared for him; he cared for her. She finally had company and he finally had a mutual weirdo like him. He learned she was a witch who sought to master the Ichor and chose to reside deep within the woods for the rest of her life. Over a span of five years, he witnessed her grow stronger in magic, controlling the tissue of life at the cost of her own body. Until becoming blind, frail, and overgrown by the very vegetation she was supposed to master. She didn't master it; she was consumed by it. The kind, weird old lady he had met became a husk, hollowed out by the plants that sprouted. Now alone to fester in his own thoughts, he saw the threat magic posed. A power beyond mortals, of which the workings or consequences we don't grasp.
