“Help! A Golem is loose on the outskirts of town! By the Palisades! We need help!”
A few local ruffians forced into community service have uncovered something ancient and powerful. It now roams the area around the Palisades, making the area dangerous for anyone unprepared. A town guard rushes back to the Spire to ask for help. But in this world . . . does mankind know anything but danger from the ancient and unknown? Are they all pawns in a game created by ancient peoples, now settling in to watch as mankind suffers and dies? At least it can be
said, mankind has no control, not even over his own will.
