For about six nights now, the workers at the Full Cask have reported something extremely bizarre:
Each night, at approximately midnight, the sounds of creaking wagon-wheels and funeral bells can be heard as clear as day despite there being no traffic nor ceremonies at such a time. By the minute, such sounds grew clearer and louder until one could make out the trudging of feet, the jangling of bells, the mewling of flutes, the drone of horns, crowned with a great booming laugh.
Then, before anyone can exit the premises to determine the source of such a cacophany there come from the door six, great, sluggish knocks that rattle the windows like thunder and caused the fireplace to bark up plumes of sparks and tongues of flame! In this time, no one- not even a Greatling- could wrench the door open nor bash it down!
When the dread greeting had finished, the doors to the tavern would show no further resistance to being opened.
Those brave enough to venture outdoors would find nothing, save for the distant sound of creaking wagon-wheels and the echoes of laughter and music.
And, more puzzingly; a hogshead filled to the brim with a cordial of currants.
By now, Maarten has had to store six whole hogsheads of cordials of varying colours and worries that these hooligans are simply using these frightening deliveries as a way to figure out when the tavern is closed so as to rob him.
Therefore, he has asked some of his loyal customers to help him catch the robbers in the act by remaining as quiet as possible during their next visitation to see what occurs...
OOC: This is a holiday-themed event in the tavern. It will be rather simple in scope and anyone is welcome to join!
