Read the following prompt:
The rhythmic lull of hoofbeats are a marching drum to the small group of pioneers and variety of folk you have found yourself amongst, packed into a wobbling wagon. The rolling plains of the Southern Reach and a clear sky stretch out all around you, the buzz of excited chatter a dull wash in your ears as your mind strays to your former life and what has led you here to new lands.
“Nervous?”
You blink, returning to the present moment. A kindly older woman sat near you is smiling warmly with a crinkle to her eyes.
“I can tell it’s your first time. Still remember mine,” she flashes a grin and leans in.
“Tell me my dear, why have you come to the Reach?”
How do you respond (in character)? (150 words minimum)
The elder's voice startled Silya back to the current. Leaving the vast fields of wavy grass behind, she returned her attention to the people she shared her carriage with, and settled her earthy gaze upon the older lady. A mousy smile pulled on her lips as she greeted the woman.
"I think most of us are here for a new life," she stated, her voice a tad hoarse from the dust and travel. "I just wish to find a peaceful place to live. Begin painting again. And, hopefully with more luck than last time."
Silya had never been good with strangers. Not due to bad experiences or a reserved life-style, but simply because people, strangers, were complicated. Silya disliked complicated.
Though the tender tone of this woman seemed to calm her apprehensions some...
So, the blonde turned to fully face her new company now, widening her smile just enough to seem amicable.
"Have you recommendations for places I should visit, before choosing where to settle?"

Brief Physical Description: Pale skin, light blonde hair and brown eyes, Silya appears a rather ordinary sight among the crowds. Her frame is slim and narrow, and she stands at around 5'10. An aspiring young artist, her wardrobe is made up of bright colors, with some dull hues for balance. She adores wearing imagery of spring and summer, and occasionally weaves flowers into her braids, when the day seems right for it.
