DEALINGS with the FEY, as RULED by CIRCLE OF FOUR

As of Reflection 1, let it be known,

Engaging in dealings with the Fey is to walk a path of uncertainty, where the price paid is often far greater than anticipated. However, when that cost extends beyond the one who willingly enters the bargain—when it claims another’s life, fate, or essence without their knowledge or consent—it is no longer a matter of personal choice but a violation of Spire Common Law and the fundamental rights granted to every citizen.

Thus, in response to recent concerns—

• No individual may pledge, trade, or bargain away the life, fate, or defining aspects of another, whether explicitly or by implication. Any agreement involving another person must be made with their direct and knowing consent

• Any contract found to be in violation of this principle shall be rendered null and void. Those who attempt to engage in such dealings will be subject to due process under the authority of The Gauntlet.

• Existing agreements that have deprived an individual of their autonomy will be reviewed, with efforts made to restore what was unjustly taken.

This measure is not intended to sever all interactions with the Fey, nor to incite hostility. Instead, it establishes necessary protections to ensure that no one’s future is bargained away without their say. Boundaries must exist, and they will be upheld for the well-being of all.

Furthermore, within the Spire’s domain, the taking of a Fey’s life is a violation of common law, as with any other being, and will be treated accordingly. Harm against them is strictly prohibited except in cases of immediate self-defense. As with all who reside within the Spire, they are subject to its laws and will be held accountable under them. Should they be encountered, citizens are encouraged to act with caution, disengage when necessary, and ensure that all interactions remain measured and without provocation.

Let these provisions serve as both safeguard and guide, maintaining the balance between caution and coexistence.
