Read the following prompt:

The rhythmic lull of hoofbeats are a marching drum to the small group of pioneers and variety of folk you have found yourself amongst, packed into a wobbling wagon. The rolling plains of the Southern Reach and a clear sky stretch out all around you, the buzz of excited chatter a dull wash in your ears as your mind strays to your former life and what has led you here to new lands.

“Nervous?”

You blink, returning to the present moment. A kindly older woman sat near you is smiling warmly with a crinkle to her eyes.

“I can tell it’s your first time. Still remember mine,” she flashes a grin and leans in.

“Tell me my dear, why have you come to the Reach?”

How do you respond (in character)? (150 words minimum)

— Mercy jumps at the old lady's voice and looks over to listen to her words as Mercys thoughts bounce back into her mind coming back into reality, she was never good when it came to interactions fact she was so bad at it that she would just stare when being confronted with questions but the old lady seemed to be kind enough and she hadn't spoken in a while. 

"Ah- yeah.. I guess I am a bit nervous. It's been a long...cramped day in here."

Mercy gave the old lady a slight smile as she felt a wave of relief wash over her. The old lady’s words were somewhat comforting knowing she still remembers her first time here must have been good then. She then went back to thinking about her question why was I here...? Mercy thought she just wanted to explore and find a new place for a new life away from the wall as a new goal of hers but maybe there could be more to happen.

"I am mostly travelling, I was told the east is a beautiful place and I guess I wanted to see it for myself, maybe even start a new life over there-"

Brief Physical Description: Mercy is around 5'7 she has a slim figure with a small amount of muscle definition with a cool pale skin tone to match her blueish-green eyes. her black hair has a slight curl as it reached past her shoulders.

"I'm travelling from rulan. hopefully I'll end up near The Reach, I was told by some of the merchants that the reach is a beautiful place. they mentioned how kind the people are and how serene the land is so I guess I wanted to see it for myself, maybe even start a new life over there- somewhere less bustling would be ideal"
