Caleb Liadon

"A Monster hunter is just a hunter with a more dangerous quarry, yeah?"
Name: Caleb Liadon
Age: 27
Race: Human
Culture: Valk
Sexuality: Straight
Appearance:
This man has the look of a hunter through and through. He's well built, with scars a plenty under his shirt and a large one over one of his eyes. Speaking of eyes, those golden orbs of his glint like actual gold, going well with his messy black hair and sun-kissed skin. Most of the time, he's wearing plain linen clothes; A white shirt with black pants and matching boots. On the job, though, he's decked with heavy leather armor and a leather coat, ready for combat and travel. No matter what he's wearing, though, his weapon stays on his back, tucked in his sheath; A pitch black claymore that can glow with dwindling cinders of a once great flame.
Story
"You want to know my story, mn?" Caleb sits across the table from someone, leaning back in his seat with a grin. "Sure. I'm all for a good story, though you might be disappointed. Isn't really all that much to say about little old me at this point..." He chuckles softly, before clearing his throat to begin...
Caleb's birth was without any special phenomena. He was born to a set of very loving parents up in the north, as the younger brother to their son. You see, the special thing about his family wasn't Caleb, but his father and his profession. Caleb's father was, of course, a professional monster hunter, and a damn good one at that. Their small village was never once in danger because of him, after all. Life was good for young Caleb.... Until the day his father left. His father left for The Spire, searching for something that he said he couldn't share...and he never came back.
"Years passed, and I found out that I take all too well after my father." Caleb Idly flips a coin along his fingers, staring at the wall calmly as he spoke. "After finding this sword on my back in my attic, I had an urge. The urge to roam and see the world, slaying monsters just like the old man. As for the reason I came here.... I made a bet with a man, and it ended in my favor. As a reward, I got this coin." He held the coin between his index and middle finger for inspection. It was a silver coin with two separate depictions on the heads and tails. For the head, A depiction of the bird that soars through the clouds in the day, Pheonix. For the tails, A depiction of the bird that sails with the stars in the night, Equinox. The coin had a hole through the top, with a necklace string through it. "Now, this thing isn't anything special, just a coin with some fancy pictures. But as soon as I touched it, I felt the urge to travel to The Spire. Different reason but came here just like dear old dad." He chuckles, propping his feet up on the table and resting his arms behind his head with a wolfish grin. "So yeah, that's me."
"...Caleb Liadon, Monster Hunter for hire. Charmed to meetcha."
Relations
Avina - "Oh, Avina!" He perked up, grinning at the mention of his friend. "Avina's one of the few friends I have so far. She even gave me a friend's discount for her shop." He chuckles to himself, eyes glinting. "Nice girl, you should check by her shop. She's plenty reliable. I even taught her a few things so that she doesn't get hurt if she ever goes on the field."
After the The Battle of The Fey Realm
"Avina is..." He sighs, closing his eyes. "She's too selfless for her own good. She never wants to look out for herself over others, and that tends to get her hurt." His brow furrows. "She got hurt that day. Hurt bad. I can still remember the impact like I was there. She got thrashed right in front of me...." He opens his eyes again and looks up. "Caring for others is plenty fine, but she needs to learn to care for herself as well."
Bracchus - "Ahhhh, the big man!" He chuckles, rubbing his shoulder from the smack he got in their spar. "Tough guy! I really hope to spar with him again. Got a warriors heart and the muscles to match."
Meat - "Oh, Meat?" He rubs his chin, thinking for a moment. "She's alright." He shrugs. "Only ever met her the one time, but even then, she's pretty fun. She says she wouldn't be a good fighter, but with all that energy I'm prone to think otherwise."
Olivier - "We've met a few times now." He gives a small nod, smiling fondly at the memory. "She's a damn fine hunter. She was the one who informed me that the hunting guild fell apart here in the spire, and she was next to me during the Battle in The Fey Realm. A good hunter indeed."
Lucien "OH THAT GUY!" he cackles, grinning wide. "Now that's a madman! He threw hands with the big fucker on the roof, Maliketh! It was a wild fight. Took a good hour and a half, If I recall correctly. Knocked each other out at the end!" He looks forward again "I'd cut down monsters with the man any time."
