Four months ago, Albern's Crossing fell under threat of destruction at the hands of the Eldarhorn infection. At the end of the battle in a gamble that cost him his life, a vampire sacrificed himself to prevent the deaths of those present.
Three months ago rumors from Iria finally arrived from across the sea. There seemed to have been sort of a buzz among the samurai clan of the Saisui. One who is believed to be a ronin by some, a prodigal son by others has claimed lineage among them. He was mockingly given the title of "The Ghost of the Saisui" given there were no apparent records of his existence. Whether the man's story was believed or not, it was found odd that any would willingly choose to associate themselves with clan outcast for their duties in ensuring there aren't Necrophage outbreaks among the battle fields, especially one blessed with the wings of the Twin Birds...
Two months ago, the rumors from Iria continued. The man's identity was able to be confirmed, he was in fact of the Saisui clan. It was revealed on a routine mission to clear a battlefield that the man had already perfected the technique the clan used to dispatch large hordes of undead. While it wasn't the final nail in the coffin to prove he was who he claimed to be, it certainly convinced quite a few given he did so unprompted. Slowly but surely the man was accepted into the clan properly, ceremony and all. He always seemed to speak of distant lands quite fondly, as if he had not been living in Ko'ram his entire life.
One month ago, the final rumor seemed to make its way to the Spire. This Ghost would be traveling to the Spire to act as some sort of permanent branch of Saisui clan in the Southern Reach. When asked if this would pose any political issues he reported said that he "knows those of the government and their militia quite well" and that he "doesn't intend on not letting them know of his arrival".
Last night, an Irian ship was spotted on the horizon. Before it even reached port, a dark blur was spotted shooting up from its deck and soaring to the Spire itself at incredible speeds. During this blur's flight, a soft glow like that of a summer sky was seen emitting from it as large wings brought it to its destination: the top of the Spire. After a while, it soared away, vanishing. One witness said they saw it at the Kawatare Shrine, another claimed it was actually at the Noctis Estate, and a third believes they saw it further inland around the Valley of Flowers. The ship eventually docked and would remain in the Spire until the strange mist settled. Two Saisui samurai would help to lend their aid in keeping the land clear of the undead during their stay.

Introduction post for my new and totally original character, Sukurō Faisui. Coming through the Mist (Trademarked) was discussed with Ghostling and won't have any bearing on the event line itself. These two Saisui NPCs are able to be interacted with, just DM me and we can do that interaction.
