- Dear Spire and the Circle of Four -

Greetings,

We, at the House of Crows, represent the health, safety and wishes of Miss Ofelia Dumont and Miss Amaranthe. 

As many of you may know, yesterday the Circle of Four, the Militia Captain and the Guard Captain issued several bounties shortly after former council-member Meriel Noctis' public denouncement of several citizens of the Spire, including Miss Ofelia Dumont and Miss Amaranthe.

Miss Ofelia Dumont and Miss Amaranthe have since, out of their own volition, decided to turn themselves in to cooperate with the Circle of Four and other relevant Spire authorities following the bounty order. They are committed to truth, justice and peace, and hope for a fair and just tribunal.

We solemnly believe that the Circle of Four's response to the situation thus far has been at best misappropriate and disorganised, and at worst a Witch-Hunt aimed to sully our clients' public standing. No matter how well intentioned, this response sets a dangerous precedent if suspects are not allowed to come in of their own accord before their bounty is plastered for anyone to claim, and moreover seals the guilt of the suspect in the public eye.

Thus, we ask that the Circle of Four reconsiders their methods of prosecution, and remind them that Red Mark bounties should only be posted for convicted criminals evading justice and investigation.
