Frostfall Accounts of the Southern Free Charter

set to record the deeds, standings and present concerns of the Charter,
for the knowing of its members, Patrons and recognized Holds.

It has been both a short yet eventful time since the signing of the Charter into being. The Cooperation between our Crows, Wayfarers and Free members have been nothing short of applaud-able and I hope this continues well into the end of the year and for years to come. 

Sun, third Chair, will not be returning with the primary expeditionary party to remain in the Seneschalty but has left for the Amafells again by his lonesome. He will remain with the stonerunner clan, the Ner'Ilu, until further matters have been concluded. 

Crow, second chair, is and has been appointed with unanimous chair approval to act in the capacity as 'Foreman' where he will be the primary point of interaction for negotiations and meetings with clients of the Charter as well as responsible for maintaining the Charter's Treasury and record of wealth flow.

A few guests have taken residence in the Thorn and Thistle, something some of you may have already noticed. They are a group of hired mercenaries hailing from Castariva. They do work similar to some of us and so I hope we are able to get along well and possibly even exchange pleasantries. 

Rumors of vampires and their hunts must have reached all our ears by now. Due to the nature of the Flower Valley on the edge of the Town, and our home situated therein, all Charter members are reminded to remain vigilant when traveling at night. For the moment there are no commissions to hunt vampires, nor are there likely to be until we can better ascertain the truth of the threats, and the extent of danger of a hunt.

Finally, we are looking to formalize and sign a relationship with the Atelier Guild in order to fulfill much of our needs for skilled artisans.

• A Call for Warriors.
  
  

  Description: Contact with southern stonerunner clan by Third Chair, Sun. Through an establishment of ties, a Trial for Warriors was proposed. To stand vigil and render defense over a site of Heritage.  Parties Bound: Third Chair, Sun; Acting in accord with the Southern Stonerunner Tribe, the Ner'Ilu. Members of the Southern Free Charter, alongside independent warriors answering the call.  Outcome: Fulfilled; the vigil was held through the appointed span. No significant losses. Final Notes: The Tribe has extended an invitation to join them in their Hold to celebrate the success. Interested parties may make it known to any of the Chairs.

  Description: Protection and Escort while the client settled a dispute. Parties Bound: Falliren, Free Member of the Southern Free Charter. 'D', Edelweiss; Free members of the Southern Free Charter | Waylon; Member and Wayfarer of the Southern Free Charter. Outcome: Fulfilled; Client returned without significant harm. Final notes: (?) Discovery of a tin deposit.

It must be noted the Charter has every intention to host a ceremony to bestow upon all members their assigned ranks and proof of rank. This ceremony, a taking of One's Measure, is likely to come at the close of Frostfall or early Darkmoon.

• A Hunt for Pelts
  A recent expedition into the Amafell proved how crucial pelts can be, and how rare the trade for them here in the Reach is. This mission will remain ongoing until we have gathered ample supply.
  
  
• Foraging in the Reach
  the Reach is rarely in short supply of useful flora. And within the Seneschalty itself many are traded freely, at reasonable prices. However the Charter will continue this foraging initiative for both learning purposes (in accurately identifying various flora and where to find them) and to acquire useful material without significant crown expenditure.
  
  
• Filling in the maps
  A Wayfarer led initiative, more details with Sun, upon their return.
  
  
• Patrol and Escorts
  With recent accounts of attacks and similar dangers so close to the Valley, The Charter may be offering escorts along the roads as far as the crossing.
  
  
• Hunt for a Horned Monarch
  Full commission details to come but those interested should begin to familiarize themselves with however much we know of the creature.
  
  
• Lectures, Teachers and Apprenticeship
  We recognize that clients may require specialized skill-sets from time to time and due to such, the Charter will soon begin a system of teaching whereby our Free members may learn and practice skills and knowledge such as:
  
  Finding, Identifying and seeking tracks or trails.
  Logistics and preparation.
  Party composition and Battlefield Tactics.
  Stealth and Remaining undetected.

We have much to look forward to.
