Heyo! I’m Glacialdawn. I’m a 30 year old dude who loves fantasy and RP. I’ve done tons of TTRPGs from D&D to Dragonage to Pathfinder over the last 16 years of my life and have enjoyed the grand majority of it.
I’ve done DMing, literal book writing (never officially published just serial publishing on RoyalRoad), and have had my hand in a variety of Minecraft Rp servers. From your typical Fantasy to Pokemon to just like me and 10 friends doing some crazy BS for the shits and giggles of it all.
I suck at art, but love and appreciate those who can do it.
I’m here to have a nice slow paced time exploring the lore, Roleplaying, and creating some fun crafts and exploring the alchemy / crafting system and the magic system too!

In-Character
Read the following prompt:
The rhythmic lull of hoofbeats are a marching drum to the small group of pioneers and variety of folk you have found yourself amongst, packed into a wobbling wagon. The rolling plains of the Southern Reach and a clear sky stretch out all around you, the buzz of excited chatter a dull wash in your ears as your mind strays to your former life and what has led you here to new lands.
“Nervous?”
You blink, returning to the present moment. A kindly older woman sat near you is smiling warmly with a crinkle to her eyes.
“I can tell it’s your first time. Still remember mine,” she flashes a grin and leans in.
“Tell me my dear, why have you come to the Reach?”
Baidu would look over to the older woman, “Nervous? No, more so excited with the opportunities I can find at the Reach.” He’d close a book he had taken notes within and put it away in a bag careful to not crease any would be pages.
“I simply am looking for ways to grow what I know about medicine. Living life around Falstoner and the caravans is too much moving for me. Plus…” he’d look around as if there are any would be listeners, not truly caring if there are any. He’d stage whisper, still fully able to be heard, “I’ve heard some tales of new Patrons popping up around The Spire, magic. Be fun to see any bumbling fools trying their hand at such quick cheats of getting by in life, be good entertainment.”
Baidu would stretch out one of his arms, his pale skin easily visible with his rolled up sleeves, “I have to say, the rolling plains are gorgeous. I might have to find time to travel further north one day, visit the Bog and Swamps up that way. I’ve always been curious of what all lies up there. But no, medicines and such are a passion I hope to dive keep into within the Reach.”
He’d give a long sigh with a big smile, “I will miss home. I hope the Reach has enough folks from home to still celebrate Faerie’s Eve. The paper lanterns in the night sky were always gorgeous. My youngest sister, Jodda, she isn’t even old enough to make her own, but if she is half as playful as my other, she’ll enjoy it. Be her first one this upcoming eason, hate that I am going to miss it, but what can I say? The opportunities here near the Spire will be plentiful I believe .”
He’d look up at the sky, “Pheonix seems to be beating down upon us heavily, I was never a fan of the summer months. Much more a spring and fall fellow, cooler evenings and such. But enough about me, what about you? Not your first time, must have a reason for leaving and returning, yes?”

Character Name: Baidu (Bah-due)
Character Race: Fey Touched - River Varient
Character Age: 20
Character Apperance: Baidu is a shorter than average Fey-Touched, standing at around 4 feet and 2 inches tall when he is stretching his back up and keeping his feet flat, so more likely 4 feet 1 inch tall.
He always has a smile on his face, finding enjoyment in the smallest of things. His deep brown eyes stand in contrast to his rather pale skin, like two orbs of mud. His hair is kept tied back in a long loose ponytail with bits of beads woven into it. It once was a bit of a brighter green when he was a child, but had started to darken over time with maturity and is now more like an evergreen color, similar to Pine trees.
He is seen wearing loose clothes, choosing comfort over looking nice or proper, often rolling up his sleeves to they didn’t get in the way when indoors during the colder weather when such clothes were needed, but wouldn’t be out of place to see him shirtless within his own home or even outside.
Background:
Both his parents are also Fey-Touched, both Human-Elven parents themselves, making Baidu a second generation Fey Touched. He was told his parents embraced that side of their life and sought out Fey to also carry on their growing heritage down to their other children, how accurate or true such a statement is, he does not know for sure, but such a truth does not bother Baidu, it is just another fact of his life.
He grew up on the Major Caravan of the Rolling Haven. He is the second child of four, with the youngest just being born when he decided to head to the Southern Reach to stake out a life of his own and grow his skills.
Living life within the hamlet during times between trips and trades was where Baidu found love in helping tend and grow the small gardens for food. Within that time, he took up the role of providing for others.
Tending to the sick, helping a plenty with any large festivals with foods and cooking, and doing what he can to tend to any rare or valuable herbs to help those who are sick and ill.
Around when he was 13 years old, he was taught some basic ways to defend himself. Mostly with a simple sword, but it was with the bow he found more love in. Why be up close and personal when you can be afar and far less likely to get hurt? To harm those who are a threat first and before they can you is an ideal that Baidu found harmony with, so much that he avoids conflict in the best of ways he can. But he was never a fighter to begin with, and would only do so in the most life and death of situations much more perfering to run away than actuall fight.
Personality traits:
Baidu is a fairly grounded individual. He has tendencies to not care for frivolous or extraordinary things. Simplicity is the love of life in his mind. That does not mean he can not be creative nor enjoy weird or unique things, but he doesn’t have a care to for things beyond what interests him and affects him and what he cares about. Be that family, medicine, friends, his home, or perhaps a favorite flower.
He has a couple odd habits, one being repeating himself when deep in thought. Baidu tends to find moments when it rains that he thinks he can hear footsteps when none is around. And lastly, there is his ever growing distaste with those who do not respect the wisdom of those with knowledge. It is one thing to do something without said knowledge, but doing so with it is foolish and he thinks those who are ‘high risk’ motivated are just wasteful to good resources.
