You've got what it takes?
The bar's in the heavens,
so make no mistake."

  Songs

This is where I'm going to post some of Argenta's songs! Please forgive their mediocre nature.

Valkian Work Song

An upbeat working song that's semi-styled to allow the performing bard to tweak it to their own needs; the end of the song is left open, which Argenta herself usually fills in by making a joke about the work not actually being over yet. This is supposedly the song she composed to graduate from being an apprentice bard.

Spoiler

Early in the mornin', just before the dawn,

The sound of clanging hammers split afore the night is gone,

Wipe fatigue from your eyes, come join in the fun,

The work for today has only just begun!

So! Come and sing along with me, come and join the band,

Every-one come together, work hand-in-hand,

So! Hum and swing along with me, let our group expand,

The work'll be done while we all still stand!

So! Come and sing along with me, come and join the band,

Every-one come together, work hand-in-hand,

So! Hum and swing along with me, let our group expand,

The work'll be done before night coats the land!

With all working together, this I do decree,

Each of us helping one another is the key,

With all working together, this I do foresee,

Our grind'll pass lightning fast and reach its apogee!

So! Come and sing along with me, come and join the band,

Every-one come together, work hand-in-hand,

So! Hum and swing along with me, let our group expand,

The work'll be done before night coats the land!

As light starts to dim, as exhaustion has accrued,

As beers passed around ensure that spirit is renewed,

All know the work is nearly over, relief is in view,

So! Come and sing along with me, come and join the band,

Every-one come together, work hand-in-hand,

So! Hum and swing along with me, let our group expand,

The work'll be done while we all still stand!

As night asserts its due, as day's work is reviewed,

As stars begin to swim above, as morale is subdued,

All know the work is finally over, relief is here for you.

On This Faerie's Eve

A song composed by Argenta for Faerie's Eve. While the entire song is cheerful and upbeat, the second verse slows down dramatically, and the third verges close to drinking song. It's meant to be played with a gap between each verse, allowing the backing melody to transition naturally. She didn't manage to finish the song until minutes before the festival she was preparing it for- and even then had to improvise while performing it.

Spoiler

We are all gathered here,

United in resounding cheer,

We convene to dance, to dine,

Yet let none forget the plentiful wine!

Gaze upon this jovial sight,

On this Faerie's Eve;

Secrets concealed within paper lights,

So sealed 'gainst mischievious sprites,

To the skies, lanterns released,

Succeeding the night's bountiful feast,

Survey the sky in abundant delight,

On this Faerie's Eve;

Come  together, as day's light fails!

Come together, raise our ales!

We stumble about in drunken daze,

We fall a-ground, our eyes a-glaze,

Yet still the mood is bright,

On this Faerie's Eve.
