Dear Ms. Fesyla, or Callista if you prefer,

My name is Aralei Stardreamer, and I'm new to the Spire. I have to say, I am greatly interested in this prospects of this organization, and wish to join its ranks, if you will have me. I have an undying curiosity for the mysterious and undiscovered, so the idea of an organization built around discovering the mysteries of this land.

Back in the Valkia, I studied to become a librarian. Through my vocation, I've learned a wide range of general knowledge about the world and creatures. I also came from a family of a mason and a vineyard worker, and thus have some passing knowledge of stones, plants, and the like. I pride myself in being observant, and I have exceptional pattern recognition.

Worst comes to worst, I'd be exceptional at collecting, organizing, and maintaining the vast collection of knowledge and information that the Assembly will no produce. At the very least, I could maintain and organize the Assemblies discoveries and allow the rest of the organization to focus on their expeditions. Though truth be told, I'd love to get the chance to do some field work.

Though my formal position in the Spire is as a member of our militia, I do find myself drawn to the Arcane Arts as well. Histories, Discoveries old and new, and research into what lies beyond our realm each are subjects of great interest to me. I am called Tamerlane, and I hail from the Valkian city of Mariza, from which I have come to the Spire only recently. I was recommended to the Hermetic Assembly after expressing an interest in studying and preserving what remains of the late Aedall Empire and its people. After hearing some deeply troubling opinions on the Aedall, I feel the need to proclaim my philosophy on the matter: they do not deserve to be forgotten, despite their many faults.

While I have never completed any formal education, I consider myself quite dedicated to the pursuits of the scholarly. Should you see fit to have me in the Assembly, I hope to eventually prove indispensable.
