Citizens of the Spire. I am Vyranthe, though many of you may know me as Vyra.
As a resident of this fair town for some time now, I express a sincere gratitude for the warmth and generosity I have been granted by those of gentry and aristocracy alike. Having lived most of my life a refugee, I never truly felt as though I had a home, nor a family. That uncertainty was placated upon my arrival, when I was greeted by those honest people of lives spanning worlds across: those like me. I have met honorable warriors, brilliant academics, and kindly common-folk; and have both witnessed and experienced their plight.
That is why I have now chosen to advocate myself for a position within the council.
In my life, I have been many things; a supplicant, a speaker, and a scholar. I believe that my lived experience and my existing affiliations speak largely for themselves, but as is customary, allow me to list my intentions as a member of government.
✦ Promoting a healthy and open mutuality between local factions and government without overreach.
✦ Supporting infrastructure for housing and development of farmland to continue expansion.
✦ Ensuring a diplomatic approach to conflict both native and beyond, to ensure the continued safety of our citizenry.
✦ Financing the research and exploration into the fields of arcana and science.
✦ Encouraging the creation of a standardized system of education with the help of local academics.
✦ Advocating for the rights of individuals regardless of origin, species, or magical affiliation- within reason.
I may not be a soldier, nor a career politician of any notable standing, but my care for the people of this city is yet unwavering.
