A poster is hung on the Notice Board at the center of the Spire. It is done by procession, with the Guard Captain being the one to personally hang it before leaving.

The Occurrences, Crimes, and Sentencing of the 25th of Reflection

Report penned by scribe Rachiel Almarys Summary of the event as reported to the guard:

• A ragged man with beaten armour (herein referred to as the Traveler) approached and entered the Full Cask's fighting pit.
• The Traveler announced that he was there to fight to the death.
• A local fighter, Altheric, entered the pit and agreed to fight him in a duel. It is the understanding of the guard that he implicitly acknowledged this duel would be to the death.
• Due to the quantity of witnesses present, this dual is considered legal.
• The duel proceeded uninterrupted until both fighters were gravely injured.
• A local huntress, Olivier, attempted to strike the Traveler to ensure Altheric's safety.
• This action incited much of the crowd to act, whether to stop the duel or stop those interfering with the duel.
• The duel evolved into a brawl, which de-escalated when the mages Bracchus and Diarmait enclosed the Traveler in a cage of stone.
• The guard arrived shortly afterwards, consisting of Guardswomen Rachiel and Ayana and Guardsman Lonny.
• The fighters were apprehended. Depending on their injuries, they were brought to either the hospital or the south guardhouse.
• The Traveler and Altheric were the most wounded. While the doctors were able to stabilize Altheric, the Traveler perished due to perforations in his lungs.

Accounting of the crimes committed:

• Olivier, Eivor, Konrad, Bracchus, Diarmait, Cadayle, Perseus, and Lucian were in violation of Common Law of the Spire, Section 4, Article 3: Public Disturbance and Disorderly Conduct
• Olivier, Eivor, Konrad, Bracchus, Cadayle, Perseus, and Lucian were in violation of Common Law of the Spire, Section 3, Article 4: Assault
• For the use of wide-spread indiscriminate force magic, Diarmaist was in violation of Common Law of the Spire, Section 5, Article 2: Unlawful Spellcasting

Sentencing for the guilty parties:

• All involved parties will be given a fine depending on the nature and context of their interference with the duel and the crimes committed.
• Olivier, Eivor, Bracchus, Diarmait, Perseus, and Lucian are to pay a fine of 50 crowns in restitution for interfering with a legal duel through forceful means.
• Olivier is to pay an additional fine of 50 crowns in restitution for inciting lawless behaviour.
• Konrad and Cadayle are to pay a fine of 25 crowns in restitution for forcefully attempting to stop the above named parties.
• The guilty parties have one week to pay this fine, starting from the time of their release.
• As the Traveler is deceased, these fines will be paid to the town guard to assist in the reconstruction of the north guardhouse.
