Read the following prompt:
The rhythmic lull of hoofbeats are a marching drum to the small group of pioneers and variety of folk you have found yourself amongst, packed into a wobbling wagon. The rolling plains of the Southern Reach and a clear sky stretch out all around you, the buzz of excited chatter a dull wash in your ears as your mind strays to your former life and what has led you here to new lands.
“Nervous?”
You blink, returning to the present moment. A kindly older woman sat near you is smiling warmly with a crinkle to her eyes.
“I can tell it’s your first time. Still remember mine,” she flashes a grin and leans in.
“Tell me my dear, why have you come to the Reach?”
How do you respond (in character)?
"I have come far from the East from the lands of Falstoners, before you ask about my face there is a story behind it as well." I respond in a heavy eastern accent
"Our Village of Jotuhad (fictional destroyed village with nothing left) was once some of the most prosperous land in the east, it was even one of the few ones that supported Ko´Ram in 1634, or that´s what i was told."
"I have heard about it" the woman replies
"But on a dark day about 3 months ago an army of Brigands, potentially hired marched into the village to destroy and loot it."
"the village was destroyed with most people dying"
"only few ones survived including me"
i take a deep breath before i continue "i was gravely injured by the brigands and also got the left of my face and head burned which is why i am partly blind"
Suddenly rain starts pouring from the sky "Now this too?" "For as long as i remember the sun was outside most of the time back home"
"Well back to what i was saying i guess"
"I am seeking for guidance and strengt at the southern realm to avenge my family by destroying those brigands once and for all."
"And if i seek the well being of people Falstone also needs a proper army, the patrolling guards cannot get anything done."
As i look to the plains on the left "perhaps one day i will return and try to repair the system inside Falstone"
"I spent some time with the Korami elves who were nice enough to let me stay there until i recovered"
"Usually they dont let anyone to their lands" Says the old Woman
"I guess they felt sorry" I respond
"and [censored] i surely miss having Faerie´s eve with my mates"
The old Woman asks "What eve do you mean?"
"Faerie´s eve, have you not heard about it?" "At the end of Fall we all whisper secrets and... whatever, you would not understand it, where ever you even come from"
