A copy of identical articles on the kidnapping of Councilman Quincy
sit in a pile for collection to read, upon the top is a depiction of a gathering
wherein multiple people lay dead and others seem to be rushing out
in the center is a skeleton playing bones like a fiddle.

By now everyone knows of what happened in Town Hall, the kidnapping of
Quincy and the embarrassingly amateur attempt at a coup. 

I thought it informative to address all that is known about the situation so that everyone
may make an educated choice on the matter rather than just trusting rumors and word of mouth.
Everything I will be noting here is only that of which I have heard from
the ‘rebels’ and Quincy’s mouth or witnessed with my own eyes.

Let us start with the Kidnapping of Quincy.

According to The Rebels (Yuna, Bracchus, Altheric, Helara.) they approached Councilman Quincy and had asked
him to resign and enact a election for a new set of Councilors, Quincy had apparently gone mad
and refused to step down. He allegedly threatened to let the outside forces
storm the spire and raid the town instead of stepping down from his position.

Quincy’s account is The Rebels pulled him into a meeting where they made an ultimatum of Quincy
resigning willingly or forcefully. A journal was then allegedly forced upon Quincy
to write his resignation right then and there. He says he made no claim of allowing the
outside forces that plague us to attack the spire so he can stay in power,
he has also stated that he has no idea where The Rebels had gained that assumption.

The Rebels then alleged that Quincy became crazed and violent,
pulling a blade and trying to attack the group, only then did they draw blade and attack back.

Quincy states he did not draw blade nor attack first, he alleges that he refused their
proposal and because of that Helara had hit him. In retaliation
and defense he drew a knife to which Helara drew her blade.

What is known from here that is agreed on both ends is a bloodbath, Altheric was killed and Helara greatly injured,
I am unaware of Bracchus or Yuna’s injuries if any. The guards were killed or
injured (this account is unclear to me) and Quincy was incapacitated. How Altheric and the Guards
came back from this I am unaware but being the sister of Veena, undeath is not something new or foreign to me.

Quincy was then taken by Bracchus and Yuna. He was stored within the mage guild with the
aid of Rott and it can be assumed he wasn’t treated or taken well care of
simply by his appearance when we all saw him next.

During the period in between the kidnapping and Town Hall meeting The Rebels had regrouped
to discuss actions further. Advice was given with how to proceed, a suggestion of gathering physical
evidence to prove Quincy’s alleged guilt but they had all refused. The group was content that their
baseless claims were proof enough, that they didn’t need physical
evidence and that everyone would be on their side. 

Later I had learned that they did decide to bring evidence, that evidence notably being that of magic
prying into Quincy’s mind and allegedly learning his thoughts to incriminate him. How this is legal
(if it is) or viable evidence is beyond me, could I not also just say
I looked into someone's mind and lie about what I saw?

No one could have guessed how the next event would occur. As most of us know a public inquiry
was held by Meriel and Ardghal, nearly the whole town attended including all The Rebels. I do not
need to state what we all saw as the truth but for those that were not in attendance amongst the many
let me describe to you the appearance that had turned the whole moment sour.

The Rebels had joined, missing a few that were gathering the Councilman. Those in attendance were
walking around as equal, unbound, unchained, free… However Quincy was led and held by Van Pelt
and Maliketh. He was bound by his hands like a criminal, bruised, swollen and unclean.

Many of those in Attendance very quickly and verbally showed their disgust and shock in how the
Councilman was brought in despite the accused being able to walk around freely. None of The Rebels
cared of the Councilman's appearance, in fact they found it very just. Only when Ardghal had order
they untie Quincy did the group do such, not once had it crossed their
minds that the public would be appalled at their actions.

Quickly the town hall was swarmed by guards as Meriel and Ardghal had tried to proceed with the
public inquiry, Quincy did not take kindly to this which can be of no real blame in my personal opinion.
A civilian doesn’t have higher jurisdiction than a Councilman, I find it rather reasonable that Quincy
would call into question the authority of Meriel and Ardghal. Opinions
are of my own and you are always free to your own.

Even many within attendance also had issues with the supposed authority that the hosts of our
public inquiry held, stating their appreciation for hierarchy set in place and expectations of such
procedures. Amongst the bickering of who was right and wrong, had authority or didn’t, Quincy
had spoken up stating that anyone not an accessory to this treachery should leave the hall
now, with that many of us left The Rebels and cohorts to their ideals.

The Rebels argued for democracy and a vote of the people to decide who was truly right in all this,
Quincy reasonably pointed out there was no democracy in hauling him out in binds like a prisoner.
From here it is just an untamed mess of a back and forth between Quincy, The Rebel and their cohorts.
An argument that “Quincy is evil” and “You’re evil for going to this length.” This is why I write this
article for you all, to decide for yourself what is the truth and where you stand if you choose to stand anywhere.

The reason The Rebels say Quincy is unfit for Council is due to his ‘inaction’ and thoughts they
infiltrated within the Councilman during duress. They claim that Rott had pried into Quincy’s
mind after the murder of my sister Veena and under duress he thought of painting the town red,
I ask you reader is an intrusive thought made during a time of distress
that was never acted upon worthy of evidence? 

They claim Quincy is guilty of inaction but I ask what proof? Certainly if Quincy is guilty of inaction
they would have at least guard reports that should be dated showing Quincy ignoring them.
Quincy had told me that allegedly The Rebels had told Quincy to not take action on a certain arrest.

I ask why is all the evidence provided by The Rebels through magic? Why is there nothing physical?
Should trials and judgement purely be made on trust? What kind of justice would that uphold?
