Mistan fishermen have begun to wake up slightly earlier than required by their usual routines, heading south along the coast
to pay their respects to the Siren Serene at the Shrine of Refuge. It appears that its metaphorical doors have opened at last, not just for the aspiring acolyte, but for the wayward man looking for solace in this strange Spire.

After a duel near the strange vampire tree last night, Meridy, normally such a common sight around the Spire, is nowhere to be found. 

Some people say they saw them just walking into the woods after the fight had concluded.

Late in the night, a limp body is dragged through the streets of the Spire. Past the Kawatare Shrine, up the steps, right in front of Town Hall, and around.

Finally, the body is left on the steps of the Reach Hospital. The one who dragged it there is nowhere to be found, yet they had the small mercy of letting the victim live, despite how close to death they were. 

Ignis Lucciola's body was covered in slashes and bite marks. What happened to them...?

(Dubious Origins, or Undercity Member/Affiliate)

A Thief in the Undercity! Nothing new or interesting about that so initially the rumors didn't catch many ears.

Rumors of someone who was hiding in one of the abandoned Guild Houses and was stolen from.
But then came the confession of what was stolen - a family heirloom and a chest of coins holding 200 crowns. Now they're looking for anyone to help them find this thief! The coins will be theirs should the stolen items be recovered.

And if the victim is willing to part with 200 crowns to have the heirloom returned, how much more could the heirloom be worth? The victim warns though that the heirloom is not worth coveting, It would just invite trouble. But if our upstanding people of the Undercity were afraid of trouble, they wouldn't be down here ha!

The victim seems to have holed up in the Slug Hole.
Wolfchop took pity on him. If anyone knows anything more, it'll be Wolfchop.

Curiously ... someone on topside has been going around asking about their stolen family heirloom as well, but with no mention of being robbed in the Undercity. Maybe it's just a coincidence.

Rumor is something finally got to Marionette.

After long battles with no tears... She seemed to be running away from someone crying?

Who could have hurt her this badly.

Rumors buzz down beneath the under-city. Talks of a bloody brawl leaving quite a stained mess within the slug hole.

Wolfchop cleaned what he could up, however something remains. 

Those familiar with the weapons owner would hear talks about their untimely demise

And how they're weapon is now embedded within the grounds.

A reinforced cage containing a deadly creature recently arrived at the docks.

Word on the streets is that a wealthy resident purchased a cougar to keep as an exotic pet, only for the animal to turn on him and end his life.

But is it really the whole truth?

Rumors come from the Ouroboros river, something about sick fish and awful smells from the river... Odd.

Wingbeats begin to frequent the Spire's airspace more in the last week, as Raven makes many trips to and fro. Speaking with merchants, other caravans, whoever is available with a cart and the means to pull it. Slowly, word begins to spread: it's an exodus. Remnants of the Midnight Circus set to leave the city as Albern's re-opens, those who still live and are willing to go. After almost two weeks of preparation, early the next morning marks the date.

She accompanies them as they depart, a fact she'd disclose prior to anyone who'd ask the question. Familiar green-clad medics accompany her, and for the duration of the trip neither Hazel, Raven, or Tauza are to be present in the Spire-Town.

A knight clad in Valkian steel, and a one-eyed Arsa enter a tavern.

What started as a conversation at the Full Cask, swiftly turned to confrontation - Quite the mess made atop the balcony. 

The latter nowhere to be seen, only a trail of blood and a strange hissing sound left in his wake. 

Even stranger, how after the dust settled, a carving of a small Ouroboros could now be found.

Right on the doorway leading to the crimson-stained balcony.
