Ongoing Rumours Thread

[!]

After a commotion at the town hall, and prisoners carried away, the local carpenter and shipwright returns to their home. Long way across the city, they stop to speak with townsfolk about the commotion, spreading the news. Councilor Quincy's assailants- and more- have been arrested, peacefully, despite the Councillor's threats. Peace only reigned once the councilor departed- was the councilor an instigator? Tales of incompetence abound the shipwright's lips- and the implication that elections must be held soon.

All mages pacted under Ciren'na would have the following letter show up in their place of residence (or otherwise sleeping place). It is also hung up on the town's bulletin board, protected by a ward preventing it from being removed or defaced for the next week (OOC).

Upon request and an agreement struck, I agreed I would write to specify the involvement of Meriel Noctis in the murder of a girl named 'Veena' by Edgard Phonquis. I can confirm that Miss Noctis performed no arcane trickery or curse on Mister Phonquis ... nor, might I add, would such a thing easily be done to compel a person to murder.

I do hope this suffices your curiosity in this matter.

Those who doubt the truth of the record on this issue - I assure you I have far better things than to lie about one of the progeny of 'Facet'.

With regards,

The Lady of the Ether
Ciren'na

A black rose is sealed into the paper by arcane means - it cannot be removed. Those who hold the letter instinctively know it to be genuine.

After being gone from town for a considerable amount of time, Diarmait finally returns. And as Diarmait often does, it is unceremonious, being seen back on the streets as if nothing had happened.

It was a busier night, and we caught each other’s eyes. He was on the bottom floor, sitting in a booth with others and giving that dopey, drunken smile of his. It was Pip, raising his tankard in toast. I’m certain of it, clear as meltwater.

But they say he's long dead, by now. I can’t make sense of it…

As the moon rose to its highest peak last night, a flaxen-haired maiden carrying a basket piled high with sweetbread ensured no one lingering in the streets of the slums would go to bed hungry.

Townsfolk who live on the beach whisper about eerie songs sung out on the tidal pools at night. Some say there's a red haired siren that visits at night.
