The Siren's Song abruptly closes, rumours of a nasty fight breaking out. The shop is closed until further notice.

South of the Spire is a column of smoke. The sound of chanting is accompanied by the smell of carrion in the air.
Councilor Meriel Noctis quietly remarks to those she encounters about unsettling signs in the mountains. She describes a flock of black birds gathered around carrion, with a few found lifeless in the passes, as though something unnatural lingers there.
Her concern grows as she considers the possibility that the Finns may have already faced hardship. She gently urges the importance of searching for survivors and bringing them to safety before matters worsen.
In the Spire's central square, home to The Full Cask, there is a noticable lingering smell of smoke and ash from the house across. It appears the Phonquis estate was set fire to outside, on its front door. Murmurings from eye witnesses spread, something about mercenaries and combat, accosting the self-proclaimed noble family in their home.

Annoyed groaning and angered cursing can be heard coming from the library quite frequently, along with an upset-looking Senia being seen entering and exiting the library multiple times a day. What could an illiterate be doing in a place filled with books?

A few short words would find a way as a gossip to the Spire.
A drunken brawl at Albern's Crossing.
A few broken noses and cusses.
Someone's filling an empty cell...

Rumor starts to spread that the Van Pelts are willing to kill any messenger that delivers news they don't like.

Rumor has it that the Stonefoot guild now has a forge and an armory.
The Jolly Man!
Across the Spire, yesterday and today, children all find gifts and trinkets from mysterious boxes that have appeared in their homes! An intruder has broken in by stuffing his big round body into chimneys! This interloper is none other than The Jolly Man of local folklore!
Tonight he celebrated his job well done at the Full Cask, in a drinking competition no less!
Maybe we'll see him again next year!
