Rott is a fairly plain Greatling. His eyes are an amber hue and his skin a typical grey. The most notable feature of his, however, is that his left horn his nothing more than a stump. Previously his left horn was growing into his skull. This has caused him brain damage that has affected his ability to speak.
Mental Profile
Generally timid around new people, Rott is nervous when making an introduction. His cultural values as a Stonerunner are ingrained in him quite deeply, although he does like to believe he challenges the status quo due to taking an interest in other cultures for more than just their valuables. A instance where9 his cultural heritage might come into play would be if he was being spoken to by both an man and a woman with equally compelling points on a topic. Due to the matriarchal society of the Stonerunners, Rott would be more likely to side with the woman as a tie breaker in such an event.
Rott does enjoy more scholarly pursuits when he is not manning the forge, as well as taking an interest in networking among his peers. One of the few times he will ever display confidence to a stranger would be at his forge, due to the comfort which the location provides to him. While he does wish he could simply create wonderous works of metal for anyone and everyone, he does understand he needs to run a business, though he is very open to accommodating the needs of an individual strapped for crowns should they need his services.
Uncovered Secrets
These are secrets that some individuals have uncovered through RP with Rott.
- Rott was once in an arranged marriage to a Stonerunner woman named Gyda. She was was a cruel woman who resented Rott and made his life miserable at nearly every moment she could in a way of petty revenge for having to be shackled to him through marriage.
- Rott had a single child with Gyda, a son named Oddrun, who would be about 23 years old at this time. Gyda was also carrying Rott's second child before she finally left Rott some years ago with Oddrun. Rott has not bothered to go looking for her since and uses his craft as an escape from the very thought of her.
- Gyda has left Rott with a terrible fear of confident and authoritative women. He can become accustom to some women after some time of speaking with them one-on-one, but if he is approached and spoken to by multiple women he does not know, he will try and escape either physically by running away, or mentally by ingesting whatever alcohol he can find.
- Rott is willing to tolerate many things, but one of the few things he cannot abide by is being called a coward. When Rott's honor is called into question, his ability for reason goes right out the window and a blood debt must be paid if the situation is not rectified.
- Due to some archaic laws that were enforced by his Matriarch, Rott is compelled by his honor to not touch a woman he perceives of higher standing than him, unless they are bound through marriage. Rott will only find it acceptable to make physical contact with a woman if he deems them to be an equal, or if he finds a reason why they might be of lesser standing than himself.
- Rott has always enjoyed books as a way to learn of the greater world and escape his lack-luster one. Though one category of book which he loves, but does not admit to, is his shameful enjoyment of romance novels, be they wholesome or less than family friendly.
- Many question why Rott would keep a horn impaled in his head, and while many have chalked it up to his stubborn attitude, the truth is from his birth sign. Born under the Pale Steed, the Malvifs declared that the ingrown horn had to be a blessing that would cause him to be a prodigy in his family trade of blacksmithing. Though the tragedy which will claim him later in life will be the early death it may cause. Rott is actively trying to find a way to defy destiny and keep his horn, as he does believe it to contribute to his craft.
- Rott became a mage of Artifice to not only create Golems, but plans on going a step further. Rott plans to transfer his consciousness permanently into a Golem, as he believes that by abandoning his body, he will be capable of unfettered by his condition speech.
